2026 Honda Pilot engine and drivetrain
The powertrain carries over from the previous year: a 3.5-litre V6 rated at 285 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque with a ten-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard in the US and all-wheel drive is available. There is no hybrid Pilot yet; see our Honda Pilot hybrid guide for the details.
Seating is for seven or eight, depending on trim, and towing capacity varies by drivetrain and equipment. Pricing and trim names differ between Canada and the US, so check the current Canadian price list instead of relying on older figures.
Should you wait for a newer Pilot?
The 2026 Pilot is the current model and already available, so there is no need to wait for it. Honda has not confirmed what will change for the 2027 model year at the time of writing, so ask a dealer about incoming model years if timing matters.
